Very early on a Wednesday morning, it was around 7am, my phone rang, when I checked who was calling, it was Khay06, my very good friend telling me we have a class by 7:30am.

I grumbled because we supposed not to have class for crying out loud, I have planned how my sleeping enterprise was going to be achieved but then, Mr. Nwose forfeited my plan.

As I checked the time, I realized that the time has gone and I needed to be fast so as to meet up.
I went to fetch water in the well, entered bathroom and took my bath, dressed up and left for class. "Will I see bike on time?" That was the question I was asking myself as I walked to the main road to look for bike or taxi.

For about 5minutes I didn’t see bike, I was so perplexed because I don’t know what the lecturer can do. This was around 7:27am.

Right there, a bike man came and asked if I was going, I was like "na God carry you come o."
I mounted the bike, as we were going, just a few meters to the campus, our bike hit a woman.

This woman was backing her 9months old baby, I was on the ground with my own wound, same as the bike man, but this woman had fainted.

I shouted my God, I was praying in my spirit “God, please revive her.” I could hear people shouting “e gbe omo yen kuro leyin e” meaning; take that child off her back.
I didn’t know when I started crying, after so much help from the people around, she woke up and I shouted “glory to God.” To my surprise, the child was not having a scratch, but the mother sustained an injury.

People suggested that the bike man should give her any amount to treat herself, but my bike man said he doesn’t have any money on him that I was the first person he would be carrying today.
I pitied him and I gave my last 1k to the woman, maybe she can manage it to treat herself, I collected her number so as to check on her.

So, the woman went her way and I gave the bike man his money and but he said I should not worry and I trekked the remaining meters to school.

On getting to school, I already knew I was late, so I called khay06 to ask which lecture room were they receiving lecture. That was when he told me it was a prank that there was no class.
I didn’t even know what to say, I dropped the call in a high frequency of anger.

He wasted my time, almost caused 4 people to lose their lives or body parts and cost me my last 1k.

I remembered I once pranked him and he promised me a payback, but I never knew prank could endanger one's life. From that day henceforth, I stopped pranking.

I actually reapt what I sowed. 🤦🏾‍♂️✍🏾
